Every Wednesday, when the Pope is in town, he holds a public audience. In winter and in summer it is held inside, because it is either too cold or too hot. In spring and autumn it is held in the St.Peter’s square. Today the chairs where set up for the first time since last year the chairs were set up again for tomorrows audience. The papal audience will be the first time outdoors, this year. You need a ticket that is free of charge in order to participate in the papal audience and in order to have access to the chairs. It is always good to come about 2 hours earlier in order to get a better position. The audience starts every Wednesday at 10.30 a.m whether it is held inside or outside.
